Joe Average Poker Show

Every Monday at 9 p.m. EST, poker players who own and subscribe to Sirius Satellite Radio can tune into channel 122 for a little poker advice, a little poker news, and interviews with poker players and the players who help make the world of poker go round.

And it’s beamed to the heavens and back to Earth from a studio in North Canton, Ohio, of all places.

AOL and the World Series of Poker

Harrah's has signed an agreement with AOL to create a cyberspace home for the World Series of Poker that will include free-play poker rooms, event updates and other content in an effort to widen the tournament's audience.

The relationship between Harrah's and AOL will also allow 12 poker fans, age 21 or older, to win a free seat at the No limit Texas Hold'em world championship event at either the 2006 or 2007 World Series of Poker.

Take a seat -- Daniel Negreanu

While this may seem rather silly to some, there actually is merit to the question, "Where is the best place to sit at a poker table?"

No, I'm not talking about being closest to the bathroom or to the fridge. I'm talking about where the best place is for you to sit at the poker table in relation to certain types of players.

To Do Anytime

When I was in college, broke with nothing to do in my somewhat-lame town of West Lafayette, Ind., I'd call all my friends, invite them to bring a side dish and have a good old potluck dinner at my house or apartment.

It had great benefits. You didn't have to cook a whole meal AND you got to see your friends in a setting where you didn't have to yell "What? I can't hear you!"

Toyota's flagship car

The badge on the outside of the 2005 Avalon says it's a Toyota.

But this new-generation Avalon full-size sedan provides such a refined, roomy, quiet ride and offers so many features, you might wonder why it doesn't qualify as a luxury car.

There's a new, 280-horsepower V-6 and a new top-of-the-line Avalon Limited model that includes a number of amenities found in Lexus cars, including front seats that cool passengers.

From poker to bedpans?

Fresh from her historic win at the World Series of Poker, Jennifer Tilly dons nurse's togs for the sweet, fablelike ``Saint Ralph,'' opening tomorrow.

In June, Tilly - a 1994 Oscar nominee for ``Bullets Over Broadway'' and notoriously famous for her over-the-top work as Tiffany, the human and doll version in the ``Chucky'' horror movies - won the Ladies No-Limit Texas Hold 'Em Competition, becoming the first celebrity to win an event at the World Series of Poker.
